I have the free version of WP Responsive Menu installed. I also create pages rather than posts. In admin – appearance > menus I have used custom links to build my menu tree. One of the menu links (portfolio) is a drop down with two sub links with each containing sub sub links. The main link, “portfolio” and the two sub links do not have urls applied as they do not have corresponding pages. These links serve to categorize within the menu and are not meant to be clicked on. This works fine on desktop view and also with the original mobile menu. When viewing these links in the WP Responsive Menu the portfolio link and two sub links have an arrow to the left indicating they expand. The arrows work as they should by expanding the menu when tapped, however if the finger taps the actual text to the right of the arrows it takes me to a page not found. Rather than leaving the url field blank I tried adding a hash tag in place for the portfolio and sub menu urls. The result of that is when tapping the text the menu folds back up. Is there a solution for this scenario where tapping the text alongside the arrow would expand the menu?
Thanks for getting in touch. The feature you are seeking is not available by default on the plugin but if you really need it then you can simply upgrade the plugin to WP RESPONSIVE MENU PRO and it should work the way you want.
